Privacy Policy & Cookie Disclosure

This centralized Privacy Policy explains how NeuralCards LLC (“NeuralCards,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles browser storage, cookies, and third-party advertising across our main website and all official game subdomains.

1. Scope & No-Account Architecture

01 / SCOPE

This Privacy Policy applies to neuralcards.com and all interactive daily games and research sandboxes operated by NeuralCards LLC, including Thulladle (thulladle.neuralcards.com) and PIDdle (piddle.neuralcards.com).

No Personal Account Registration Required: You do not need to create an account, submit your name, email address, phone number, or provide payment credentials to play our daily browser games. All game physics, card-shedding simulations, and puzzle evaluations run directly inside your web browser.

2. Local Browser Storage (localStorage)

02 / GAME MEMORY

To provide a seamless daily puzzle experience (similar to Wordle), our games use your browser’s standard window.localStorage API to remember your progress and settings directly on your device:

  • Daily Puzzle Progress & Completion Memory: Stores your current day’s guesses, turn results, and solved/completed status (for example, piddle_daily_progress_v1 and Thulladle daily state) so that if you close and reopen your browser tab on the same day, your completed board is preserved.
  • User Interface & Audio Preferences: Remembers whether you have viewed the first-time rules modal (piddle_seen_guide_v1), whether optional direction hint arrows are enabled (piddle_direction_hints_v1), and your sound mute state.
  • Anonymous Local Score History: Saves aggregate puzzle accuracy and streak metrics (piddle_daily_stats_v2) so you can compare your performance across daily seeds.

Your Control: Data stored in localStorage remains on your device and is never sold or linked to your personal identity. You can clear it at any time using your browser settings, the in-game Reset button, or the storage utility in Section 5 below.

3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Cookies

03 / ADS & COOKIES

To keep our daily engineering and card puzzles free to play, NeuralCards LLC uses Google AdSense (Publisher ID: ca-pub-8579475137745129) to display advertisements on our websites.

  • Third-Party Vendor Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the Google advertising cookie) and web beacons to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our websites (neuralcards.com, thulladle.neuralcards.com, piddle.neuralcards.com) or other websites on the internet.
  • Personalized & Non-Personalized Ads: Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the internet, measure ad effectiveness, and prevent repetitive ads.
  • How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising: You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (Europe/UK).
  • Google Partner Data Practices: To learn more about how Google collects and processes data when you visit websites that use Google advertising services, please review Google’s official disclosure: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

4. European (GDPR / UK) & US State (CCPA / CPRA) Privacy Rights

04 / REGIONAL RIGHTS

EEA, UK & Switzerland Visitors (GDPR)

If you visit our sites from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are presented with a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) banner compliant with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). You can grant, customize, or withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time using the privacy/consent link displayed on the site.

California & US State Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

NeuralCards LLC does not sell personal contact records. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), third-party advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out of personalized ad cookies at any time via Google Ads Settings or your browser’s Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

5. Hosting Logs, Children’s Privacy & Local Data Controls

05 / CONTROLS & CONTACT

Cloud Delivery & Security Logs: Our websites are hosted via Amazon Web Services (AWS Amplify / CloudFront). Like all standard web servers, AWS automatically processes ephemeral request metadata (such as IP address, browser user-agent string, timestamp, and requested URL) strictly to deliver static page assets, mitigate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) traffic, and maintain service reliability.

Children’s Privacy: Our websites and educational puzzles are directed to general audiences and engineering/card-game enthusiasts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
